The Awards

The Prolific North Awards were launched in 2013 to recognise a wide range of talent in the industries Prolific North represents. The 2013 awards were also hosted at The Point, and even then brought together more than 600 in celebration.

On the night, the biggest success was Macclesfield’s Stein IAS, who took home three prizes, with a wide selection of Northern businesses winning that evening.

Since then the Prolific North Awards have continued to grow as the publication’s flagship night of awards, bringing together very influential judges to assess the best of the region’s entries.

Last year’s Prolific North Awards included a total of 27 categories, and were hosted by BBC Radio 5 live’s Will Perry at the striking Victoria Warehouse. It succeeded in showing off the wealth of excellence and talent in the thriving creative, digital and marketing sectors of the North.

2020’s awards are sponsored by YouGov, and promise to be even bigger and better than ever. Returning to The Point in Trafford, the sector comes out in force to celebrate peers and colleagues, and network with influential figures.

Judging

Judging for 2020 will be conducted on July 22nd by our illustrious panel. As ever, this involves a rigorous and independent two-stage process to refine the best shortlist.

We recently revealed the full judging panel, which is made up of influential figures from companies as diverse as Microsoft and Media Agency Group.

The list includes names from Social Chain, JLL, Said Business School, The Landing, Revolution Viewing, One Brand Magic, Harry Hall, GMCA, Everton FC, Endless Gain, the PRCA, dock10, One Day Agency, Now Healthcare Group, and Space 48. Find the full up-to-date list here.

How to enter

Entries can be made at prolificnorthawards.co.uk, where you can register via the online entry portal to make a submission. Just fill out your company profile to access your account and submit entries.

An unlimited number of entries can be made by any user, by separating each one as a separate entry form. Visit this page to find all the necessary rules for submitting an entry into the Prolific North Awards.

Judges are looking for companies or organisations who can clearly demonstrate their success over the past 12 months – whether that’s through market share growth, having faced and overcome adversities, or created new opportunities for themselves.

Each entry needs to include evidence to substantiate all entries – this could be new business wins, client retention, financial statistics, or other industry awards.

Why enter the Prolific North Awards?

There are many reasons why companies in the region will want to take home a Prolific North Award and competition can be fierce. It provides the opportunity to really show off your objectives and ambitions, while comparing yourselves with competitors.

More importantly, the awards will help you celebrate the efforts of your team and reward them for their hard work. Attending the event in September is a great way to come together and raise a glass together with your colleagues and show them your appreciation. It’s also an unmissable opportunity for networking and socialising with the best in the industry.

You’ll get your work put in front of some of the most influential decisionmakers in the North, both in the form of the judging panel as well as the hundreds-strong audience at the awards ceremony in September. What’s more, each shortlisted entrant gets space in front of Prolific North’s 130,000 or more monthly online readers.

The Prolific North Awards provide an unmissable opportunity to showcase the quality of your work and show off the talent of your team.

The team at Wash Studio, winners in 2019, said: “It’s what these awards are about, they celebrate ‘all’ that’s North. The media landscape is changing and it’s exciting that brands are looking further afield in some instances for something a little different and winning awards helps us on that quest to prove we are a viable option.”
