Aunt Bessie’s marketing team is hoping to jump on the flat cap “explosion” with a Yorkshire Pudding-inspired version of the fashion accessory.
The “one-of-a-kind” Yorkshire pudding flat cap has been released to celebrate National Yorkshire Pudding Day this weekend.
“Aunt Bessie’s takes pride in celebrating National Yorkshire Pudding Day, and this year we wanted to give back to Aunt Bessie’s fans and provide them with something a little different and fun, to mark the occasion,” stated Louise Grace, Senior Brand Manager at Aunt Bessie’s.
“We hope fans will enjoy the flat caps and we look forward to seeing people across the UK embracing Yorkshire heritage!”
The cap has been colour-matched to the pantone of the brand’s Yorkshire Pudding and will be available to win through its Facebook page.
According to the company, the flat cap has “exploded in popularity” with Google Trends reportiing a 90% increase in demand during the past five years.
Aunt Bessie’s has the country’s largest Yorkshire pudding production site. Its Hull factory produces almost 4,500 puddings every minute.
