Jon Humphreys has been named non-executive director of Liverpool agency, Black and Ginger.

Humphreys co-founded The Neighbourhood with Ben Davies in 2006, but they closed it down in March, citing “personal health reasons.”

“Jon is hugely talented both as a creative director and a business mentor and I am absolutely thrilled to welcome him on board,” said Alex Frech, managing director at Black and Ginger.

“After 11 years as joint head of The Neighbourhood, Jon’s expertise, passion and commitment is set to be a real boost to the business. It’s clear that we have a good synergy and I am really looking forward to Jon playing a part in shaping the future of Black and Ginger.”

Black and Ginger is based at Baltic Triangle, working with brands including Nextbase, Edge Hill University and Chester Zoo.

“This is a truly exciting time for Black and Ginger and I am pleased to be in a position to help steer the agency through its ambitious plans for future growth,” explained Humphreys.

“Black and Ginger has delivered some wonderful work to date and with such a talented team of creatives on board, I am very much looking forward to the next chapter.”
