BBC Studios appoints new Director of Production for Factual Entertainment & Events

Katie Brewer-Frankl is joining BBC Studios, with a remit to lead production, commercial and business across all of its 5 UK bases.

She joins from RDF, where she’s currently Director of Production for its RDF, Fizz and Little Wonder labels, which includes Anton Ferdinand: Football Racism and Me, Tipping Point, Dementia and Me and Eat Well For Less.

Brewer-Frankl will lead on the division’s commercial strategy to grow the business as well as having overall production management responsibility for shows like Top Gear, DIY SOS, The One Show and Morning Live.

“I’m delighted Katie is joining the team in Factual Entertainment and Events, she has brilliant experience, a fantastic track record and is a lovely person. I’m really looking forward to working with her as we continue to grow the division,” said Hannah Wyatt, Managing Director, Factual Entertainment & Events, BBC Studios Productions.

The role will also involve pushing BBC Studio’s expansion into SVOD, AVOD and internationally.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining BBC Studios and working with Hannah on such a large slate of impressive and high-profile shows. I’m looking forward to combining forces to further expand the division,” she said.
