A large delegation of tech firms will be heading to Liverpool later this month as part of the BBC Worldwide Showcase.
Google, Apple, Netflix, Microsoft, Facebook-Oculus, Amazon and regional subscription video on demand services will be attending the 4 day event at the ACC.
It brings together BBC executives, creatives and international buyers, to market British television content.
Some of the acting stars who’ll be appearing to launch new shows are Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who), Idris Elba (Luther), Charlotte Riley (Press), Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge), Nicola Walker (The Split) and Karl Pilkington (Sick of It).
“We continually evolve Showcase to make sure it fits the needs of our customers and this year we’ll be hosting a wider range of companies than ever before,” explained Paul Dempsey, president global markets, BBC Worldwide.
“We’ll also be joined by many of the key names from Britain’s biggest independent production companies, including BBC Studios, as well as producers, broadcasters and financiers from all around the world who’ll be discussing their latest content strategies, new projects and global trends.”
Around 700 buyers will be able to view thousands of hours of content in some of the 600 specially constructed digi booths.
