Manchester-based cloud and managed services provider, ANS Group, has acquired Alithya UK from its Canadian parent company.
The two companies have worked together for a number of years, with Alithya specialising in Microsoft Dynamics. This resulted in discussions about a “mutually beneficial approach” which enabled ANS to expand its digital capabilities, while Alithya could “divest a small part of their overall business.”
Details of the deal haven’t been announced, but Alithya’s European operations represent just a fraction of its global income (2019: 6.9%).
“We are delighted to be welcoming Adam Spurr and the rest of the UK team to ANS,” said ANS CEO, Paul Shannon.
“We believe the two organisations are a perfect fit across many areas including culture, customers centricity and technology expertise, to name a few. We sought references from several organisations and the feedback was overwhelmingly excellent, making us extremely excited to integrate the team into ANS and start delivering some incredible projects together.”
ANS is based at Manchester Science Park and its most recently available figures showed a turnover of £53m (2018), with an operating profit of £7.8m.
