Digital retailer N Brown Group Plc has announced that Rachel Izzard has today notified the board of her intention to step down as group chief financial officer.
The company did not give a reason for Izzard’s departure, although it did reveal that Izzard will be working out her 12 month notice period while it finds a replacement, and that she is leaving the group “to take up a career opportunity outside of the online fashion and consumer credit industry.”
Prior to her role with N Brown, Izzard spent over 20 years working in the airline industry.
Izzard is the latest in a string of high-profile departures from the Manchester-based fashion and homewares specialist since it issued a profit warning and saw shares drop to their lowest level in two years earlier in the Autumn.
The company has seen the departures of its director of design, chief brand officer and head of media in recent weeks, while Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group has also taken advantage of the difficult trading conditions to increase its shareholding in the company.
N Brown is a top 10 UK clothing & footwear digital retailer whose brands include JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo It is headquartered in Manchester and employs over 1,800 people across the UK.
