ALT brings 3D Scotch Whisky experience to Edinburgh’s Princes Street

ALT, a lGlasgow-based creative media and digital marketing agency, has launched a 3D Out-of-Home (OOH) advertisement to promote the new visitor experience at The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh.

The trailblazing campaign marks the first use of 3D technology on Edinburgh’s major central thoroughfare, Princes Street, showcasing ALT’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional advertising.

The Scotch Whisky Experience, renowned for immersing visitors in the rich heritage and intricate process of whisky making, collaborated with ALT to bring a sector of their new experience to life through cutting-edge media. ALT’s vision was to capture the essence of the whisky distillation process and translate it into a visually captivating advertisement.

By utilising suspended baubles and state-of-the-art digital technology and visual techniques rooted in perspective and anamorphosis. ALT successfully mirrored the distillation process featured at The Scotch Whisky Experience. The result is a stunning 3D OOH advert that not only illustrates the meticulous art of whisky making but also engages viewers in a novel and dynamic way.

“This campaign exemplifies the perfect marriage of media and the latest technology,” said Nathan White, board director at ALT. “We wanted to create a media placement that wasn’t just seen, but experienced. The 3D OOH technology allowed us to achieve this by providing a visually immersive representation of whisky making, right in the heart of bustling Edinburgh with many opportunities to be seen.”

The advert features 3D elements that seemingly leap off the screen, drawing passersby into the mesmerising world of whisky creation. This innovative approach not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides an educational glimpse into the complex processes that define Scotland’s national drink and will encourage passersby to book in a visit to the visitor attraction.”

This pioneering 3D OOH campaign on Princes Street will run throughout the summer and deliver over 5m impacts.
