Alliance Manchester Business School has been placed 36th in the Financial Times world business school rankings – top in the UK outside of the south east of England.

It has climbed 12 places from last year, to be ranked sixth in the UK and 19th in Europe.

Alliance MBS has worked in partnership with global blue-chip and public sector organisations including BP, BAE Systems, the NHS and the Chinese Ministry of Finance.

The Financial Times list noted support provided to the clients and their employees after completion of the programme and the learning environment facilities.

Jane Crombleholme, head of executive education at Alliance MBS, said: “The ranking demonstrates our commitment to delivering excellent business education on a global scale to our clients.

“In the past year we have expanded our global offering and our international team of world-leading academics and industry experts.

“We have also launched a new suite of open programmes that includes the Manchester Leadership Development Programme.”
