Over the past 10 years, hundreds of talented marketers have gone on to do incredible things after emerging as winners at the Prolific North Marketing Awards.

As one of our longest-running award events, the marketing awards have become a staple in the industry calendar and will be returning once again to celebrate marketing excellence this year on October 12th at Manchester United FC.

A big thank you to our category sponsors and partners this year:

As we gear up to recognise another wave of stand-out campaigns, top teams, talented individuals and remarkable agencies, we take a trip down memory lane to see what some of our previous winners are up to – and what winning means to them.

Sheffield-based digital agency Evoluted won Best Search Marketing Campaign in 2021 and Best Midsize Agency in 2022.

With competition fierce amongst the finalists, winning an award is always a “huge deal” and a “great source of pride” for Evoluted.

“The Prolific North Marketing Awards are one of the staples in our calendar when it comes to seeking industry recognition for our best work. It’s always brilliant to meet fellow Northern-based marketers at the ceremonies – there’s so much talent in our region so it’s really nice to celebrate that and get to meet people from other companies that we wouldn’t otherwise speak to,” says Dan Rawley, marketing manager at Evoluted.

“The awards are always really competitive so it’s a great way to benchmark our progress as an agency.”

“We’re delighted to have a really strong track record at the Prolific North Marketing Awards over the past few years and it’s definitely the case that winning one year makes you extra motivated to replicate that feeling and defend your crown at the next one! We were especially proud to win the Best Midsize Agency award last year as it was a real indicator of how far we’ve come and such a competitive category.”

Founded in 2006, alongside headquarters in Sheffield the agency has a growing presence across Manchester, London and Birmingham with no plans of slowing anytime soon.

Although it’s tricky to place an exact value on award wins, Rawley explains: “There’s no doubt that it helps to attract new clients, gives existing clients extra faith in our abilities and is brilliant for recruitment.

“People want to join a company on the up and winning awards is one way of showing that’s what we’re doing. Having our work recognised by industry peers is a huge confidence boost for our team too!”

Prolific North’s importance on an independent, fair and industry-leading panel of judges is important too.

“Independent awards like this are a really important way of getting external verification that we are doing industry-leading work, and letting our award wins speak for themselves.” he adds.

Altrincham-based agency C21 was crowned Best Small Agency in 2021.

Back in 1998, the agency was founded by Christina Clarke, trading out of a small office on Atlantic Street with just five employees.

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the agency has seen growth with 15 staff based at The Court House on Grafton Street and became employee-owned in June 2021.

“Entering the PN awards is a great opportunity to showcase the great work we’re doing and an opportunity to show our appreciation to our team for all the hard work they put into delivering such high quality creative,” says Angelo Giaquinto, creative director at C21.

“We pride ourselves on delivering the best work we can for our clients and when that piece of work turns into an award winning piece of work, at one of the region’s most prestigious events, it gives the team an immense sense of pride. There are lots of great creative agencies in the region so to be up there with them is a real sense of achievement.”

Winning at the Prolific North Marketing Awards has had its commercial benefits too.

“Our success at the PN awards has been great PR and has led us to winning new work as people have approached us from seeing the coverage. It gives the agency credibility which in turn makes it easier to recruit new members of the team.”
