Cheshire agency wins competitive pitch for Southport attractions

Four of Southport’s biggest attractions have appointed a new PR agency, following a competitive pitch.

Zeus PR will be working on print and digital PR for Southport Pleasureland, the newly installed 35-metre Big Wheel Southport, Viking Adventure Golf and the Lakeside Miniature Railway.  

The Congleton agency has been brought in to undertake a multi-platform national and regional press, influencer and brand partnership campaign to showcase the attractions.

This will also include the soon-to-be unveiled Discovery Bay land, a 67,000sq ft area within the park for up to 3000 people. This is set to open in June.

“We invited a number of PR agencies to tender for the brief and Zeus PR’s experience and delivery of campaigns for national consumer family brands is very aligned to the UK-wide demographic we are keen to reach,” said Norman Wallis, CEO for all four Southport attractions.

“All four attractions have seen, and are continuing to see, substantial investment, and we are firmly focussed on showcasing all we have to offer and raising awareness of Southport as major tourist destination. Zeus PR is as passionate about achieving this as we are.”    

In total £4.7m has been invested in the park over the last 12 months.
