Some might question the logic of launching an events company in the midst of a global pandemic, but as Maverick Live enters its third year trading it has grown annual turnover to £1.25m and is kicking off 2023 with a trio of new hires.
Vicky Cruse joins as senior events producer, bringing 10 years of experience with her, including two years as event manager at The Hut Group where she specialised in events and activations for THG’s wide range of brands. Cruse is currently in the final stages of completing her masters on Sustainability in Events and accreditation with A Greener Festival and will become the company’s green champion going forward.
Lucy Russell takes up the role of events producer, with a CV taking in weekends with the Manchester BID, to her most recent position as the operations manager of RunThrough, organising and managing events across the country including their flagship Run Alton Towers weekend.
Cathryn Rigby makes up the threesome and will be looking after the books having joined the company in late 2022.
2022 also saw Maverick move into a new Warrington HQ housing a two-story office space alongside 7,000 sq ft of warehouse storage for AV equipment and Maverick Live are hoping to put it to good use in 2023 by adding to a client list that already features Very, Redrow, Bentley and LFC.
