Dave Masterman, the current programme manager at Absolute Radio, is to join MediaCityUK’s Audio Always.
In the new role of head of content, he will be responsible for delivering broadcast projects across the BBC and commercial networks, as well as streaming and digital platforms.
“As the audio landscape continues to evolve, it’s an incredibly exciting time for Audio Always, so the chance to move back up North and join such a creative and ambitious team was an offer I couldn’t refuse. It also helps that after ten years away, I can now finally renew my Man City season ticket!” he said.
At Absolute Radio, Masterman oversees the daytime output of the station, including the Dave Berry Breakfast Show. He was recently named Best Entertainment Producer at the Audio Production Awards.
“I can’t wait for Dave to join our business in the North and lead our talented team of programme makers at MediaCityUK. He brings a vast amount of production experience and his creative energy will be heard across all of our audio content projects,” added Stuart Morgan, managing director at Audio Always.
Masterman is set to join in the New Year.
