Down at the Social lands Manchester gin brief

Down At The Social has been awarded the contract to deliver full service PR and social media for Manchester gin distilleries No. 186 Gin.

The No. 186 Gin collection was created by a husband and wife duo and is named after their bar in Manchester city centre. The collection comprises three flavours, which the distillers say “champion the spirit of Northern heritage with each and every drop.’

The brand has picked up awards from both the Gin Guide Awards and the London Spirits Competition, with its three distinct expressions – Signature, Berries and Honey, and Passionfruit and Vanilla. Most recently they have launched Wonky Duck gin, in collaboration with hit ITV soap, Coronation Street.

The DATS team have been briefed to deliver a PR and social media campaign to build upon the No. 186 brand and build their social media platforms and following. The campaign aims to make No. 186 gin synonymous with the very best craft gin across the UK.

In addition DATS have also devised an extensive influencer and content creator strategy to run alongside the more traditional PR media campaigns.

Managing director of Down at the Social, Daisy Whitehouse, said: “As soon as we met with Lynsey and Matt from No. 186 Gin I knew there was a synergy there. They live and breathe the world of gin and are quite inspiring. As storytellers we jump at the opportunity to work with brands like these with interesting stories behind them and with founders as passionate as they are.

“We have been tasked with creating a full PR and Social Media strategy to build their brand awareness across the UK as well as managing all of their social media channels. In addition we have implemented an influencer marketing campaign to complement the more traditional PR product placement.”

Down at the Social have also recently won the contract to deliver the PR and social media for Safewash; a non-toxic, 100 per cent organically certified cleaning product for outdoor use which is being hailed as ‘perfect’ for pet owners and their pets, because of its non-hazardous formula.

Down at the Social has experience working with national brands including Chapter 2 Dating, MEDAHUMAN, UKBG, KBK, Shoryu Ramen, Skinny Lager/ Skinny IPA, Zymurgorium, HRH Group, Native, OrderYOYO, Chopstix Noodle Bars, Seetec, Manchester Pride, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE.
