Dean Lovett, the CEO of McCann Central, is to join McCann Manchester’s leadership team as its new Chairman, meaning he’ll work across both agencies.
“McCann Central has been working more closely with the team in Manchester over the last year, sharing and developing our expertise across operations, business development, Craft, PR and Social, to name but a few areas, and I can see many more opportunities for collaboration,” he said.
“Together, we are a creative superpower with an unparalleled ability to deliver the depth and breadth of services that clients are demanding regionally, nationally and globally as part of McCann Worldgroup.
“At the same time, it’s very much business as usual here at Central – we have a big year ahead and I am confident that together we will continue to thrive.”
He’ll join the leadership team including Helen Sullivan, who’s the joint CFO for Central and Manchester; Simon Buchanan, who takes on the permanent role of Manchester CEO; and CCO, Dave Price. McCann stated that Lovett’s role was to “drive growth, operational excellence and collaboration” across the agencies, working alongside Manchester lead, Buchanan.
“Dean’s sustained track record at McCann Central speaks for itself and I have no doubt he will make a very positive impact in his expanded role,” added Fernando Fascioli, President UK & Europe and Chairman Latin America.
According to the most recently filed accounts at Companies House (Year End 2022), McCann Central had £129m of sales with a £5.43 pre-tax profit. McCann Manchester had £136m revenue and a £3.24m pre-tax profit.
