Citypress is to invest £1m over the next 3 years, to “further deepen” its creative specialism.
The move will be led by newly appointed Creative Director, Paddy Smyth, who joins from Golin.
Smyth spent more than a decade at the London agency, most recently as its Associate Creative Director, working with brands including Premier Inn, Worldpay and TRESemmé.
“My focus will be to build on Citypress’ excellent creative foundation to drive impactful campaigns that create meaningful change,” he said.
“There is huge momentum behind the agency, with a raft of recent creative award wins.”
As well as client work, Smyth will help build the agency’s “creative discipline and functional capabilities” alongside Citypress Senior Director, Ruth Lee.
“Paddy has an award-winning record of delivering highly-creative, strategically-sound and culturally-connected work that delivers positive impact for clients across a number of our core sectors,” explained Lee.
“We’re investing more than ever in our creative offer and Paddy’s arrival as Creative Director further cements our commitment to deliver brand defining work for our clients.”
