Content Producer

Reporting to Head of Events and working alongside a small team of sales, operations and event professionals, the Content Producer role involves researching, curating and managing the timetable of 3 expos, building on existing connections and creating new ones. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing copy to assist marketing
  •  Producing high quality content
  • Developing successful content plans per show
  • Researching topics & market trends
  • Copywriting for websites
  • Proof reading                                    
  • Contributing to the generation of new content ideas
  • Deliver high quality levels of customer service in keeping with the Don’t Panic brand and ethos
  • Manage communication between clients, the agency and speakers to ensure effective event delivery
  • Manage all speaker bookings in accordance with procedures and in an accurate manner ahead of speaker announcements or event dates
  • Managing ongoing speaker liaison including creation of briefing notes, booking of travel and accommodation at the best possible rates
  • Work with the Directors, designers and subcontractors to develop branding  and marketing materials including websites and event collateral
  • Manage the production of presentations and speaker notes to ensure professional event delivery
  • To accurately complete time sheets on a weekly basis
  • Contribute to effective post event evaluation to ensure effective continuous improvement

Job Requirements:

  • University degree or relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years minimum content management experience
  • Proven negotiating skills 
  • Ability to develop professional relationships 
  • Ability to multi task across numerous complex projects with varied deadlines
  • Ability to effectively project manage complex jobs
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
  • Proven ability to take direction and input and develop and deliver exceptional results that achieve both Don’t Panic and client objectives
  • A strong researcher with high quality copywriting expertise and a conference production or content production background
  • Knowledge of Marketing / Digital / ecommerce & Tech sectors would be advantageous but not essential
  • Tenacious researching skills, the ability to speak confidently with industry leaders and ‘sell-in’ new ideas & concepts
  • Proven track record of meeting targets
  • An excellent standard of written English
  • A go-getter and creative thinker 
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate budgets and manage expenditure
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Keynote and social media channels
  • Effective time management skills
  • Driving licence and access to a car
  • Willing to travel and flexibility around working hours
