Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the growing media planning and buying team here at HUB. You will be working with an Account Director and Media Strategist to assist in planning client media campaigns for various channels, including TV Spot, TV Sponsorship, Press and OOH.

You will also be able to work closely with our various Digital Specialist teams, acting as the bridge between online and offline channels to always ensure an integrated approach to client work.

This role requires some previous experience in client services and ideally within a media planning agency. This would suit someone currently in role as Media Account Exec wanting to take next step in career.

Main Duties

  • Working alongside client account teams to assist in the media planning, scheduling and subsequent implementation of various media channel activity.
  • Responsibility for reporting of individual media channel performance, leveraging subject matter expertise where necessary to do so.
  • Liaising confidently with clients on media recommendations and refining them as necessary up until point of client approval.
  • Scheduling bookings with media companies and using relevant softwares to do so.
  • Creating briefs for the production team to create and deliver ‘fit for purpose’ advertising copy for TV and press.
  • Liaising with Clearcast on concept and content approval as well as final delivery to channels for TV advertising.
  • Attending client meetings as and when required.
  • Attending and participating in agency meetings around client performance and resource.

Essential skills/qualities

  • Some experience working in a media planning role within a client or agency structure.
  • A team player.
  • Excellent planning and communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise comfortably and confidently with client partners.
  • Competent use of powerpoint to devise presentations is preferred.

Desirable skills/qualities

  • Exposure to media planning, buying and tracking softwares.
  • Existing media owner relationships would be beneficial.
  • A good understanding of the on and offline media landscape.
  • A self-starter with an aptitude and willingness to learn.
