There is certainly no sign of a slow down in the creative industry as the festive period approaches and the invites for countless nights out start to arrive. We’re working round the clock to ensure we hit our clients deadlines for new year so we can go out and party.

No matter how much some have tried to fight it, Christmas has definitely arrived with the eagerly anticipated launch of this years Christmas TV adverts. Manchester-based animation company Mackinnon and Saunders were behind the puppets in Sainsbury’s Christmas ad, achieving that feel good factor in more ways than one, as the campaign will raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s charity. Animation in the North has always been at the top of the game and I’m glad that this tradition has continued long past the days of the once great Cosgrove Hall.
Creative England’s first ever brand campaign has launched this week and it’s refreshing to see a not for profit organisation helping propel the undeniable talent we have within the Northwest and the rest of England. Magnafi have done a great job producing the short film and will no doubt do an amazing job in ensuring the promotion with #EnglandisCreative.
As we all know, the world showed its unpredictable side recently and the media went into a bit of a frenzy. That’s why more than ever we found ourselves longing for a bit of positivity in the headlines. Enter, Victoria Fritz of BBC Breakfast who went into labour shortly after she came off air. Who needs pineapple and curry, you just need a little Trump!
With Channel 4 being announced as the final event partner for Prolific North live we are looking forward to meeting our peers in the New Year. In an industry blessed with collaboration and knowledge sharing it is set to be a great few days and another great year for Northern talent.
