Circus PPC is based right in the heart of Leeds, having moved to newly refurbished offices at Tailor’s Corner earlier this year.
Tailor’s Corner, which runs to seven floors, was previously known as Wellington Park House and formed a large part of the city’s history, having been built in 1881 for Hepworth’s, and rebuilt after the 1906 Great Fire of Leeds.
It was bought by property developers in 2018 for renovations and modernisation, and boasts a large rooftop terrace to be used by all residents of the iconic building.
Circus operates from its fifth floor, having moved from its Thorpe Park base to handle new client wins and in line with plans to double the size of its team by the end of the year, having recorded its first £10m year in 2021.
Rick Tobin, Managing Director of Circus PPC Agency, shared his enthusiasm about the new office…
“Despite hugely changing the way we work since the arrival of the pandemic, and implementing a ‘work from anywhere’ policy that allows the team to work from wherever they work best, we still wanted to design a creative space that inspires the team and gives them somewhere to work alongside the rest of the team.
“Having the ability to work from home is great, and we’re glad we can offer that option to the team. However, there’s no replacement for an exciting workspace that brings teams together and gives people an insight into who we are!”
The building is set across seven floors and 25,000 square feet of design-led workspace, including a communal roof terrace looking over the Leeds skyline, shower and changing room facilities in the basement of the building, and dedicated entrances on both Wellington Street and Thirsk Row.
High-level security has been taken into consideration, with high specification access control throughout the entire building, along with dedicated access points for businesses to receive visitors without leaving the office.
Meanwhile each floor boasts three toilet facilities and a bespoke eight-person lift that opens up onto the contemporarily-designed waiting areas of each floor.
What happens there?
We designed our office space to reflect who we are, what we do, and how we do it. We didn’t want a run-of-the-mill, corporate office space that is just there to house team members, rather we wanted to create an inspiring workspace, led by ideas and input from the entire team to ensure that everyone felt they’d contributed to such an important aspect of the business.
Collaboration, learning and idea-sharing are just a few of the things that our new space has elevated within the business – giving us the space and inspiration to work together to make decisions about the future of the business, collaborate on specific projects, and support one another in a way that helps us to develop our skillset and best do our jobs.
To celebrate our new offices, we recently held an office launch party for clients, industry contacts, team members, and suppliers – which was a great excuse to show off our office and how well it reflects us.
We’re really grateful to be in a space that allows us to celebrate with those that have supported the agency for so long, and we hope to continue using the office as both a workspace, and an exciting social space when required.
We’re a PPC agency providing PPC services to clients across a wide range of industries including retail, ecommerce, B2B, finance, travel, iGaming and more. So the majority of what we do is working with clients to analyse their business goals and objectives to best develop a strategy that helps them to drive success through PPC.
Why is the workplace appropriate?
This is our first office in Leeds City Centre, so we wanted to make sure the whole team loved it, and felt excited about the prospect of having it as a workspace. It’s easily accessible for those travelling on public transport or by car, and is located in the heart of the city.
Our focus on having a workspace that is inspired by the team is reflected in the design of our office, where we’ve given team members the opportunity to design specific aspects of the space to help us to put our stamp on it and encourage them to work there.
Who works there?
Circus is currently a team of 12, and hoping to expand to a team of 20 by the end of the year, so we’ve made sure that our workspace can facilitate that growth. The team is made up of mostly PPC experts, along with a board of directors and client services and marketing departments.
