Alongside Katie Harling, the duo both started at the Leeds digital marketing agency as placement students.
Appointed as joint managing directors last year, the duo took over from founder Mark Curtis who moved into a new role of managing partner.

The person that has inspired my working career the most, and why
This is a challenging question as I’ve been fortunate enough to have been influenced by a number of individuals during my time at Fusion. But, without sounding dull, I must say that the person who’s had the greatest impact on my career is none other than my exceptional counterpart, Katie Harling, who also serves as Joint MD at Fusion.
Katie was actually part of the team who interviewed me for my placement year at Fusion a decade and a half ago. As one of my first line managers, she supported me without hesitance as I progressed through the ranks. She’s taught me the ins and outs of digital marketing, how to build strong client relationships, and how to conduct myself in the business world with integrity and kindness. But beyond her professional guidance, she’s become a dear friend, inspiring me to be the best version of myself both at work and at home.
The place that has inspired my working career the most, and why
Without a doubt, the biggest inspiration for my professional journey is none other than Fusion Unlimited itself. I’ve had the privilege of spending my entire career here, beginning with a work experience stint during Year 10 (albeit within the old studio part of our sister agency at the time). Fusion is not just my workplace, it’s a part of who I am.
The passion that every member of the team exudes is truly infectious, and it’s a quality that has endured throughout the 15 years I’ve spent here. This passion is rooted in the agency’s formation 25 years ago and is the driving force behind our success. Everyone at Fusion is friendly, supportive, and always ready to lend a helping hand, with no internal politics hindering our progress. As an independent agency, we have always had the freedom to explore our passions and make a meaningful difference in our work.
Now that I’m leading the team, I’m committed to continuing this legacy of excellence and ensuring that Fusion’s core values remain intact as we grow.
The thing that has inspired my working career the most, and why
It’s tough to pinpoint just one thing that’s inspired me the most in my career, so I’ll cheat a little and name three. First and foremost, my journey as a leader has been greatly enriched by the experiences I’ve gained through working with an incredible array of clients. From the ever-changing world of retail to navigating the nuances of the finance sector, I’ve had the pleasure of testing and refining marketing principles across an eclectic range of company infrastructures.
Through this process of learning and adaption, I have been able to truly hone my leadership skills. Second, is the unique company culture we’ve built at Fusion. This is something I’m proud to be a part of and has allowed me so much freedom to achieve and carve out my career path to date. And finally, my family who inspires me to get up in the morning and get the day started and more importantly to log off on time so we can carve out our lives together. If it wasn’t for each of these I would not be where I am today.
