Here, she shares a recent week in her life…
Monday
I’ll be honest – I’m not much of a morning person, especially on Mondays! Working from home at the start of the week allows me to ease back into work after a busy weekend of content creation and life’s usual chaos. I begin by freshening up, hydrating, and writing my to-do list, which is something I do every morning. After that, I feel ready to conquer the day!
The week always starts with a check-in meeting with the paid media team at Bonded, where we align on priorities for the week ahead. This is followed by a quick catch-up with my manager, Dan, to discuss client updates and actions.
Mondays are reporting days for the paid social team; focusing on pulling reports, preparing updates, and providing insights on campaign performance to guide optimisations for the week. I get my head down and dive headfirst into the data!
Tuesday
Tuesdays are office days, and today the office was buzzing! It’s amazing to see how much Bonded has grown since I joined this time last year, with so many new faces around. Office days are my favourite, as I get to catch up with the team and hear about the exciting projects everyone’s working on.
One of my priorities of the day was shooting content for our upcoming Creators Unite event in Newcastle, featuring the Magic Hat Cafe – the amazing venue we’ll be hosting it at. Watch this space!
At lunch, the wellbeing team organised a wellness walk to Leazes Park. It was the perfect chance to unwind, chat with colleagues, and get some fresh air to recharge for the rest of the day. This year, Bonded has organised a fantastic range of activities we can take part in to improve our wellness, including lunchtime and breakfast walks as well as movement breaks hosted by our growth director and pilates expert, Ellie.
After work, I met up with my new flatmate who is moving in next week, which was super exciting and a great opportunity to start building a new friendship.
Wednesday
I spent most of the morning preparing for a client reporting call later in the day. It’s my responsibility to provide feedback to the client, a task that once felt daunting but is now something I’m growing more confident in. It’s very rewarding to be able to step outside my comfort zone, knowing that each challenge helps me grow both personally and professionally.
After work, I had a collaboration with a major national health and wellness brand, showcasing their new Newcastle store to my followers! It still feels surreal to work with such amazing brands, and moments like these remind me why I started creating content; to connect and share valuable experiences with the local community.
Thursday
Thursday mornings kick off with another check-in with the Paid Media team to ensure we’re on track with tasks and moving in the same direction.
I also caught up with Caitlin, one of our new starters in the digital PR team. It was great to get to know her and hear about the exciting projects she’ll be working on – I’m looking forward to seeing the wonderful campaigns that the digital PR team will bring to life!
I ended the day with my first ever reformer pilates class as part of my goal to try new things on my own this year! I ended up really enjoying it and would definitely do it again. It felt great to get active after work, get the blood flowing, and boost my energy levels.
Friday
The office is usually buzzing on a Friday as everyone is looking forward to the weekend!
We had an incredibly productive and insightful ideation session for one of our clients, focused on continuously testing new features and driving the account forward with regular updates and advancements.
On Fridays, the team usually has the option to have an early finish which is such a great initiative as it allows us more time to wind down before the weekend. As it was payday, a lot of us went out for a well deserved drink after work. A frozen margarita is definitely the perfect way to wrap up the week!
