The most popular football programme on television will return to cover the 2019-20 Premier Leagues season in a brand new virtual reality studio.

This season sees a new home for Match of the Day, Match of the Day 2, Football Focus and Final Score in the VR studio based at dock10 in MediaCityUK.

Now in its 55th Year, the Gary Lineker-presented show draws in seven million viewers each weekend.

The MOTD team will be bolstered this season with new recruits Peter Crouch, Micah Richards, Tim Cahill and Karen Carney.

Dan Walkers shows off the new virtual reality studio

This year’s show will also be the 20th season presented by Gary Lineker, the network’s highest paid presenter.

The Women’s Super League and Women’s Football Show will also return on September 8th.
