North East favourite gets rebrand

Dicksons, is seeking to grow the audience for its Saveloy Dip and Pease Pudding, with a brand refresh.

The family-run retailer has recruiter Gardiner Richardson to update its logo and colour palette, to reflect “ambitious growth plans.”

The company has also recruited Lumsden Design to redesign stores and its supermarket concessions.

“As we’ve continued to invest in our stores and product offering, we knew our brand needed the same level of focus to maintain our appeal and engagement with customers,” explained Mike Dickson, Retail Growth & Development Director at Dicksons.

“Gardiner Richardson and Lumsden are the perfect partners for us, bringing experience of working with big retail and consumer brands which build engagement and loyalty with consumers.”

Dicksons opened its first shop in 1953 and now has more than 30.

“We’re honoured that the Dickson family has put their trust in us to take great care of their brand’s rich heritage while capturing the businesses’ exciting future direction,” added Matt Forster, Associate Director at Newcastle’s Gardiner Richardson.

“We’ve been feeding our creativity with regular trips to Dicksons to sample the menu – all in the name of work obviously!”
