Channel 4 has released its most streamed shows of 2023, as it increases viewers on the platform by 24%.
Possibly out of loyalty to its Leeds headquarters, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire were the biggest converts to Channel 4 streaming – with a 54% increase year on year. That was followed by Wales and the North West, both at +37%.
While Taskmaster appealed to the East Midlands and South of England, Married at First Site was the winner in the North West, with 468m viewing minutes recorded for MAFS UK.
Welsh viewers were also big fans of MAFS Australia & MAFS UK, but they also recorded 179m viewing minutes of Chester’s Hollyoaks, which was the third most streamed show in the country.
UK-wide the most streamed single episodes were The Great British Bake Off and Russell Brand: In Plain Sight: Dispatches.
The Couple Next Door, which was filmed in Leeds; The Piano; Banged Up; and Partygate all made the top 20.
Married at First Sight Australia and Married at First Sight UK are the two most streamed shows of 2023, reaching 6.8 billion viewer minutes combined with Married at First Sight New Zealand.
In total 53.5 billion minutes were watched on the platform.

Channel 4 streaming has 28m+ registered users – including 85% of the UK’s young people.
