Former BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Frankie Connor launched his new Retro Show on Liverpool Live Radio at the weekend.
Connor previously presented various programmes on BBC Radio Merseyside, including his popular retro show, for over 26 years.
Liverpool Live Radio said: “Frankie will bring his much-loved retro radio show to Liverpool Live and will feature music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. He will also share stories and trivia about the songs and the singers. If you are a fan of classic music and nostalgia, you will enjoy Frankie Connor’s retro show.”
Connor was once part of Liverpool group The Hideaways, who became very popular during Merseybeat’s heyday era in the 1960s, playing the Cavern Club more than 250 times.
Frankie’s Retro Show launched on Liverpool Live Radio on Saturday, December 9 and will continue weekly Saturdays from 1-3pm.
