Digital agency Bloom has made two senior appointments with the hiring of former Ebuyer managing director Dave Wood as commercial director and Nathan Lane, formerly head of Bell Pottinger’s Leeds office, as its head of ‘earned media’.
Ebuyer, one of the UK’s best-known web-based resellers of consumer electronics products is head-quartered in Howden, East Yorkshire. The company employs over 300 staff and claims to serve three million registered customers.
Bloom had previously worked with Wood at Ebuyer but the company is not a current client.
Wood will be taking responsibility for the agency’s operations and will oversee its paid media division covering PPC, display and affiliates. Lane will be managing a new integrated team that includes PR, social media, on and offsite search.
Bloom has also said that on the back of recent additional growth which has seen turnover rise by over £1m against the same period last year, it is moving to a new office in Leeds capable of servicing its current headcount of 68 staff which MD Alex Craven told Prolific North, he expects to rise to over 100 in the coming months.
Craven said that the agency is also expanding its international capabilities and has recruited multi-lingual staff to facilitate the growth of international campaigns such as a recently completed global digital campaign for sports brand, Goal.com.
