Tangent lands consultation role with global travel firm TTC

Digital experience agency Tangent will provide strategic consultation to hotel and travel group, The Travel Corporation (TTC), as it develops its digital touchpoints.

TTC is looking to allow some of its 40 global brands to explore unique creative expressions and differentiated user experiences through technical developments.

Tangent, which has its UK offices in Newcastle and London, will support the decoupling of TTC’s Umbraco CMS to become fully headless, providing technical support and consultancy throughout the technical design, production and rollout phases to ensure that best practice is implemented, key decisions are validated, and potential pitfalls are avoided.

Tangent technical director Andy Eva-Dale said: “It’s an honour to support across TTC’s ambitious digital roadmap as they work on developing a seamless customer and traveller experience and to call upon our Umbraco expertise once again. Projects of this nature require careful consultation, but are especially rewarding when the end results are as transformational as we expect them to be.”

TTC CTO, Gunjan Verma, added: “Navigating this huge project means calling upon the best in the business. We were impressed by Tangent’s unique approach to the work, their Umbraco credentials and their experience supporting internal teams with similar technical deliveries.”

Family-owned TTC has over 100 years of experience, having been founded in 1920 as a single small hotel in South Africa. Its portfolio of brands now spans 70 countries, offering a variety of guided travel experiences, independent holiday packages, boutique river cruising, luxury hotels and safaris.
