Blake Mill, the fashion brand famed for its bold and imaginative shirt designs, has released a new online collection dubbed ‘Mind Over Matter,’ with a percentage of sales being donated to the mental health charity Mind.
The print designs are inspired by sources as diverse as the drawings of a pioneer in neuroscience, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, through to an abstract take on Australia’s use of marijuana to treat mental health.
The capsule ‘Mind Over Matter’ collection will feature four different designs and be available to buy via Blake Mill’s website with prices range from £110 – £115 with 10% from each sale in the collection donated to Mind.
Chief executive officer, Ken Price said: “All of us here at Blake Mill have experience with mental health issues either personally or through family or friends. We understand the importance of the excellent work that Mind is doing in this area and are proud to support them.”
Ian O’Reilly, head of community & events fundraising at Mind, added: “We are really grateful to Blake Mill for choosing to support Mind by donating a percentage of sales of their newly launched ‘Mind Over Matter’ collection of designer shirts.
“It’s a difficult time, with many of us now feeling the impact of the cost of living crisis on our mental health and wellbeing, especially those of us with existing mental health problems. One in four of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, and it’s so important that no one has to face this alone.
“Every donation that Mind receives allows us to campaign to improve services and provide information and support. This includes through services such as the Mind Infoline, legal line and our online peer support community for adults, Side by Side, so we can be there for as many people who need us as possible.”
