Alchemy Media and Gonzalez Byass stock up on Christmas spirits

Family-owned wine and spirits company Gonzalez Byass has appointed Alchemy Media to manage media planning buying across multiple brands.

Soberano, Croft, and Beronia will launch multi-media campaigns in the run up to festive season, embracing a creative and strategic approach which captures the festive spirit to elevate brand awareness.

Alchemy and Gonzalez Byass, a Spanish winery with almost 200 years of history behind it, have also developed plans for sherry brand Tio Pepe, which promise to continue to deliver innovative marketing excellence for the business.

The Soberano campaign will immerse consumers in the rich heritage of Spain through digital and social activity with engaging formats showcasing the tradition and quality of the popular Spanish brandy brand.

Beronia Rioja activity focuses on using bespoke data targeting across ALL4 and AdSmart to reach their core audience within a shared viewing experience, aligning with Beronia’s ‘best shared with friends’ strapline.

The campaign for Croft taps into the power of audio by launching within contextually relevant podcasts, supported by social and digital activity showcasing engaging visuals and activity within consumer magazines in support of listings.

Alison Easton, marketing director at Gonzalez Byass said: “Alchemy impressed us with their considered and tailored approach, reflecting the unique spirit of each of the respective brands. We’re looking forward to a successful partnership and to delivering a captivating experience for consumers which will drive purchase consideration across the key festive period.”

Amy Cresswell, managing partner at Alchemy, added: “We’re delighted with this appointment. Gonzalez Byass have a fabulous portfolio of iconic brands which we’ll be showcasing to both existing and new consumers in new ways across their key trading season and beyond.”
