Better Business Network, OPEN Media and Avery & Brown team up on nationwide Better Business Pioneer campaign

Manchester based Better Business Network has launched its new Better Business Pioneers campaign in collaboration with Liverpool-based OPEN Media and marketing company Avery & Brown.

Going live today across prevalent OOH spots across the UK, the campaign was born out of frustration for the lack of progress on pressing global issues like climate change, biodiversity loss and social inequality. By spotlighting those already driving change, the campaign aims to counter climate doom, inspire more conscious actions, and showcase how we all have the power to shape a better future.

The Better Business Pioneer campaign aims to raise awareness of the power of individual action. It celebrates positive contributions towards environmental or social impact made by individuals in their professional lives: whether they’re a CEO of a business changing the industry, or an employee who goes above and beyond their day job to make a difference.

The #BetterBusinessPioneer campaign is based on two principles: that all actions, no matter how small, can make a difference, and that sharing best practice is critical to encouraging change. Each small act of awareness, compassion, or environmental responsibility not only makes a tangible difference, but also inspires others to follow suit. It showcases that anyone, regardless of their background, resources, or circumstances, can be a #BetterBusinessPioneer.

The campaign launches with six pioneers featured on OPEN Media’s outdoor advertising space across the UK, and the three B Corp businesses behind the campaign are calling on people across the country to also nominate their own Better Business Pioneer.

Hannah Cox, director of The Better Business Network, said: “Our mission through The Better Business Network has always been to counter climate anxiety, but to also facilitate collective change. Our Better Business Pioneers are an incredible example of positive change makers, proof that things can be done differently.

“We’re proud to see the campaign go live across prevalent out of home advertising sites across the UK today and hope that by celebrating their actions it inspires others to make changes that will shape a better future. We hope to see many more pioneers come forward as a result and look forward to meeting them at our Better Business Summit in January 2024.”
