Preston-based sportswear manufacturer, Kukri, has appointed Bird Consultancy to handle its PR and communications strategy in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games.
Kukri is the official kit supplier to Commonwealth Games England and has already revealed that it will be helping up to 20 athletes hoping to be selected for team England with PR support.
Bird has been tasked with raising the firm’s profile within the sportswear and retail markets.
“Bird has a great reputation and expertise within the sportswear industry, and with our recent Commonwealth Games announcement we are confident they will help us deliver a first class communications strategy and help us build on this success. We have an exciting year ahead and we’re looking forward to working with Bird to deliver our objectives,” said Kukri founder and group managing director, Phil Morris.
The firm supplies kits for more than 76 sports, including Lancashire County Cricket Club.
