Colony to open sixth co-working space in October

Colony CoWork is opening its sixth Manchester city-centre venue in New Islington this Autumn.

The newest venue, coming in October, is in Manchester’s latest regeneration area, New Islington, offering premium workspace, collaborative zones, and community at its heart.

Part of the ongoing regeneration work happening across New Islington and Piccadilly East, Colony Fabrica will offer nine private suites – the largest with 100 workstations – as well as flexi desk membership options and four fully-equipped meeting spaces.

Colony collaborated with Triple M Projects on the fit-out, design and project management of the 24,000 sq ft venue.

Colony launched its first co-working space, Jactin House, in the centre of Ancoats, in 2017, and has expanded to include four additional locations, including Piccadilly, One Silk Street, and most recently Colony Flint Glass Works, in Ancoats.

Aaron Ezair, director, said: “Fabrica has been purpose-designed to accommodate the changing needs of work and social cultures post-pandemic. Colony have monitored the requirements and growth plans of members in our network and have listened accordingly to shape an optimised, dynamic workspace environment.

“The new location represents a flag in the ground for premium class workspace in the New Islington and Piccadilly East regeneration areas, as well as offering a new harnessed, hybrid working approach for larger business to operate alongside potent startup companies. Colony plan to continue consolidating their presence and spread across the City Centre with further locations after Fabrica, and will also look to suburban and region town centres to offer their network ultimate flexibility.”

Colony is also hosting a series of launch events throughout October, including a digital marketing bootcamp, wellness and coworking day, and a Bcorp Panel event.
