Harrogate agency The Whole Caboodle has recruited Carly Chaffer, formerly with 9XB as its new head of SEO. Chaffer has been included in an industry compilation of the ‘top 30 women under 30 in the digital industry’, as voted for by her peers.

The current Whole Caboodle, which modestly introduces itself by way of stating  ‘Welcome to Harrogate, home of the world’s greatest integrated agency on earth’, is the result of a merger completed in April 2009.

The orginal agency was formed by Chris MacKenzie, the current managing partner, in 1996 in Leeds.

However, with the onset of the recession, he entered into talks with PGK Advertising, which was based in Harrogate.

PGK, which was established by Karl Rahmani, was also feeling the effects of the recession and the two decided to consolidate their operations into a single base in Harrogate, cut some costs and invest more into their digital activities.

Today the company employs 28 staff MacKenzie told Prolific North.

Clients include JCT600, Macdonald Hotels, Principal Hayley, The Co-operative Travel and York and Thirsk Racecourses.
