The dates have been confirmed for two North West sports productions – the second series of Welcome To Wrexham and the feature-length Ricky Hatton film.
Hatton will air on 31st August on Sky Documentaries and NOW looking at the Manchester boxer’s life in and outside of the ring. It will feature interviews with The Hitman himself, plus his closest friends, family and peers.
Made by Noah Media Group they will use behind the scenes access and unseen archive footage to tell the story of the boxer, who reached the top of his game and then fell into depression and addiction.
It’s directed by Dan Dewsbury and distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Global Distribution.
Disney+ has also today released the new trailer and release date for the second season of Welcome To Wrexham.
It will air on 13th September in the UK and continues the journey of Rob McElhenney (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Ryan Reynolds (“Deadpool”) as the owners of the third oldest professional club in the world.
The series is produced by Boardwalk Pictures and its Executive Producers include McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Nicholas Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Alan Bloom, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma and Jordan Wynn.
