Ex-Sun Managing Editor to head up Manchester journalism training centre

Graham Dudman a former News UK executive is to lead News Associates’ Manchester operation.

Dudman has been at News Associates since leaving News UK in 2015, initially taking on the role of Editorial Consultant, based at its London centre.

“After six wonderful years at News Associates London office, I’m heading north to oversee our Manchester HQ,” he said of his return to the city.

“As well as growing the delivery of the most successful journalism courses in the country, I’m thrilled to be back working in Manchester. Can’t wait to be working with our northern team including Alice Gregory Phil Wilkinson and Paul Kilbey.

“It’s a return to my home town with a chance to renew old friendships and make new connections as we expand our media training and bespoke journalism courses.

“I’ve loved teaching the next generation of journalists – it’s the best fun and so rewarding. Looking forward to more of the same but with slightly different accents.”

News Associates is a fast-track NCTJ-accredited journalism course.

Prior to joining the organisation, Dudman spent 20 years at News UK as Head of News, Head of Features and Managing Editor of The Sun. He was later UK Editorial Development Director working across The Times, Sunday Times and The Sun.
