Specialist digital prototype manufacturer Protolabs appoints Fourth Day PR

Protolabs, a digital manufacturer of custom prototypes and low-volume production parts, has selected B2B tech PR agency, Fourth Day, to manage its UK PR, influencer relations and thought leadership programmes.

Fourth Day was selected following a four-way competitive pitch, for its experience in the 3D printing and additive manufacturing industry, as well as its proven track record in delivering results-driven thought leadership campaigns.

Head of communications EU at Protolabs, Alex Edwards, said: “Fourth Day stood out in the selection process. The team really understood not only our business but also what we are trying to achieve through our communications. They’re already proving to be an invaluable strategic support with our InspirON event series, media outreach programmes and European research campaigns. We’re excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Fourth Day director Nikki Scrivener added: “We’ve worked in the field of rapid prototyping since Fourth Day launched, over 20 years ago. Protolabs has also been in the sector for over two decades and is a digital manufacturing partner to some of the world’s most innovative companies. We want this expertise to shine through. Our aim is to ensure that Protolabs is leading the discussion about reducing manufacturing development time, lowering production costs and helping companies get products to market faster.”

Protolabs’ digital factories produce low-volume parts in days, while its supply network powered by Hubs unlocks advanced capabilities and volume pricing at higher quantities resulting in a single manufacturing source, from prototyping to production, for product developers, engineers, and supply chain teams across the globe.

Fourth Day is a tech PR specialist with teams based in Manchester, London, Paris, Berlin, Casablanca and Brisbane.
