Social media influencer, Molly-Mae has confirmed that she’s stepping down as Creative Director of Manchester’s Pretty Little Thing.
The former Love Islander has been a brand ambassador for the brand since 2018 and was named Creative Director in 2021. The role was reportedly worth £400k a month, or around £5m a year.
The social media influencer made the announcement on a YouTube Q&A video:
“A lot of people have been asking me about PLT creative director, how’s the role going, how’s everything going with PLT, and everything is going incredibly with PLT,” she said.
“I will forever have the most insane relationship with PLT, they are literally like my family. I am still working with them and doing collections and edits, but I have actually decided to step down as my creative director role.”
She explained that she had “lost some commitments” so she could “rearrange her life” to spend more time with her new child.
“Myself and PLT have decided collectively that as much as the Creative Director role was incredible and I have literally loved being the Creative Director of PLT more than anything it was such an amazing chapter for me it has naturally come to an end.”
