Final deadline approaching for Prolific North’s Creative Awards

There’s not long to go to enter the very first Prolific North Creative Awards, with the final deadline of April 21st fast approaching.

The creative awards recognise and celebrate all the individuals, teams and companies doing brilliant things across the North’s creative sectors.

At a live ceremony reveal on June 29th at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), the awards will feature a special exhibition to showcase brilliant creative work, as well as celebrating our winners on the night.

With the backing of top industry experts from the likes of BBC, ITV and Google, these awards are designed to honour the scale of creativity thriving across the region.

“Levelling Up is a popular political phrase at the moment, but it’s clear that in the creative sector, the North is already holding its own. These new awards from Prolific North are a great opportunity to celebrate the amazing work coming out of our region, as well as the talented people and teams behind the craft,” said Victoria Fawcett, marketing manager at Dentsu Creative and a judge at the creative awards.

Whether it’s celebrating ambitious creative work from agencies or brands or recognising memorable stories emerging from the production world, there are a range of exciting categories to enter at this year’s Prolific North Creative Awards. We recently pulled together this handy guide – take a look at the categories here.

To submit your entry follow these simple steps…

  • Register for an account on our portal (it’s quick and easy) – you can save your progress and upload supporting documents.
  • You’ll need details of your project. We accept submissions for work completed between January 2022 – April 2023 (check your category for the full criteria of each award). Make sure you include information about your objectives and results.
  • Have your supporting documents ready. You can attach up to five documents to help your work shine for our judging panel!
  • Submit your work before the final deadline on April 21st.

Judges and judging process

There is an independent judging panel filled with industry experts taking part in this year’s Prolific North Creative awards. From the broadcasting world with Cerys Griffiths, head of content production at BBC Education; industry leaders such as Chloe Davies, head of social impact at Lucky Generals; or experts like Ben Tan, creative technologist at Google – you can find out all about our panel here.

In a transparent and fair two-step process, judges will read and score all entry forms and consider any supporting materials submitted if needed. The panel of judges will then meet to discuss the highest scoring entries and will agree on the shortlist which will be revealed on May 18th, and the winners of each category will be revealed at the live awards event.
