Dress Me Online the company co-founded by Real Housewives of Cheshire’s, Seema Malhotra, has gone into administration.

The firm trades as Forever Unique, supplying luxury fashion for women.

It appointed Amie Johnson and Yiannis Koumettou of Begbies Traynor as Joint Liquidators earlier this week. Currently the brand and website is trading as normal and fulfilling orders.

“Every option was explored but there was no choice but to enter the company into liquidation. A combination of the economic climate, inflation and issues in recovering from the pandemic have resulted in these circumstances,” stated Amie Johnson, Insolvency Director at Begbies Traynor.

“Creditors have been informed and we will keep them up to date with progress.”

According to its most recent accounts (to December 2020), the Manchester-based retailer turned over £2.3m and employs 21 people.

Dress Me Online’s only director is Seema’s husband, Sandeep Malhotra. He’s also the only director of Fashion Store Online Ltd, which is listed on the Forever Unique website, rather than Dress Me Online.

In March last year, the couple appointed administrators to their wholesale business, to focus on selling directly to consumers.

Cowgills revealed that Wholesale Clothing UK, which was previously known as Forever Unique Ltd, owed over £2.8m. With almost £500k outstanding to HMRC for VAT and PAYE/NIC.
