Granada Reports beat off competition from the BBC and Channel 4 last night to pick up a TV BAFTA for its coverage of the revelations presented by the Hillsborough Independent Panel.
Hillsborough: The Truth at Last was given the award for news coverage at the televised ceremony, ahead of BBC News At Ten: Syria and Channel 4 News: Battle for Homs.

It’s the second time in seven years the regional broadcaster has won the category, having beaten BBC, ITV and Channel 4 for its coverage of the Morecambe Bay cockling disaster trial in 2007.
The same programme was also nominated for an RTS award this year.
The star-studded night was a successful one for other northern companies, with Red Productions and RSJ Films also taking away BAFTAs.
Manchester-based Red saw its romantic BBC1 drama Last Tango in Halifax, starring Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid, named best drama series.
And RSJ Films, based at MediaCityUK, also enjoyed some success with Olivia Colman winning best supporting actress for her role in its Jimmy McGovern-penned drama Accused. It did however lose out in the mini-series category to Room at the Top.
Further northern glory came in the shape of Steve Coogan, who won best male performance in a comedy programme for his Alan Partridge spoof travelogue Welcome To The Places Of My Life, while The Great British Bake Off, which stars Wirral baker Paul Hollywood as a judge, won the award for features.
