Granada Reports has been nominated for a BAFTA award for its Hillsborough coverage.
The programme has been shortlisted in the Best News Coverage category for a segment entitled Hillsborough – The Truth at Last, where it will go up against BBC News at Ten and Channel 4 News, both for their Syria coverage.

Granada Reports was also nominated in the recent RTS Television Journalism Awards.
Other regional representatives in the nominations include Red’s Last Tango in Halifax, which picks up nods for Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid and Sarah Lancashire in the actor, actress and supporting actress categories, as well as the Drama Series category.
Coronation Street, Shameless and Emmerdale will go up against each other in the Soap and Continuing Drama category.
