Blume has appointed a new Business Development Manager as part of a new recruitment drive.

The Manchester-based acquisition specialist for the legal sector was bought by Sun European Partners late last year.

Brionie Cook-Scowen joins the firm from e-Medicals UK where she was Head of Business Development, prior to that she was at Mobile Doctors.

“Blume has a focused and clear strategy for the future with a great proposition which I can’t wait to share with clients,” she explained.

“A big part of what attracted me to the role was the scale of Blume’s ambitions, drive for innovation and growth and the passion of its people. I’m looking forward to joining the team and playing my part in moving the business forward.”

Her role will be to help the company “pursue new opportunities” to expand the business.

“Brionie joins us at an exciting time as Blume embarks on another important year of growth by offering more choice and flexibility to law firms through an expansion of our panel offerings,” added Dez Derry, Founder and CEO at Blume.

“Her background in medical negligence, coupled with her outstanding commitment to customer relations makes her a great fit for the business.”
