A Liverpool gamer and YouTuber made at least £31m from views on her YouTube channel in 2022 according to a new ranking.
SSSniperWolf – real name Alla Marie – is known for her reaction videos, game commentaries and vlogs. The Liverpool native currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona and started streaming on YouTube on June 4th 2014.
SSSniperWolf was the only female gamer to make the male-dominated top 10 of the YouTube Gamer Rich List, where she sits in second place ahead of household names like PewDiePie, who sits 10th in the ranking with just under £4.5m income despite boasting the most subscribers at 111m. That compared to “just” 33.2m subscribers for SSSniperWolf.
Belarusian YouTuber A4, aka Vladislav Andreyevich Bumaga tops the rankings having clawed in over £45m last year.
To reach its conclusions, New Zealand casino reviewer casinoalpha compared the views gained for each channel since December last year and applied the going rate for sponsored content on YouTube.
The calculations were based on the latest CPM (cost per thousand views) rates that advertisers currently pay for sponsored videos on YouTube – which, for the most popular channels, averages out at £6.40, or £0.0064 per individual view, according to the latest figures from Influencer Marketing Hub.
With 4,874,198,607 views reported since last December, according to US YouTube analytics specialist Social Blade, SSSniperWolf made £31,158,939.
Her most popular upload of 2022 received 13 million views for 11 minutes of footage, equating to £83,104 in earnings for one video alone.
Her actual earnings from gaming and vlogging could be even higher, once additional income such as merchandise sales, sponsorships and collaborations on other YouTube channels are factored in.
A casinoalpha spokesperson said: “It’s encouraging to see female creators like SSSniperWolf making a name for herself on the platform, and we hope to see more diversity amongst the highest-earners and British content creators in 2023.”
