BCN Group has hired Mark Braund as its new Non-Executive Chairman.

Braund will be working with the Manchester-based IT cloud and managed services specialist to help “define its strategic goals” over the next 5 years.

It comes following a busy 12 months for the group, which was sold by Beech Tree Private Equity to ECI Partners in the summer and hit £50m in revenues following the buy-out of Evo-Soft.

“I’m excited and humbled to take on this role at BCN Group. Tech services is an industry which so many businesses rely on, and the sector will only grow with technological advances,” said Braund.

“2022 is an exciting time to be joining the board, with the company having received investment earlier this year, and most recently completing the acquisition of Evo-Soft, strengthening the company’s portfolio. I’m excited to offer my knowledge and experience to the team, as the company enters its next phase of growth, and I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for BCN in the coming years.”

Braund has 35 years experience in the technology, consulting and business services sectors. He is also Chair of Livingstone Group, NFS Technology Group, Parity Group Plc and React Group Plc. Before this, he was CEO of RedstoneConnect Plc – now Smartspace Software Plc.

“I’m delighted that Mark has been appointed as chair, he has great credentials and track record of steering teams strategic growth in the tech services sector, but his understanding of people development and his cultural approach makes him an excellent fit and choice for BCN,” added Rob Davies, CEO of BCN Group.
