BFI Network and Film Hub North have joined forces with York’s Aesthetica Short Film Festival to present the 2022 edition of Script Lab.
Now in its fourth year Script Lab aims to help writers and writer/directors develop early-stage ideas for short films and convert them into a polished script with the support of industry mentors. Projects are developed in a supportive peer-to-peer environment and writers are matched with producers to help take their projects into production.
Applications are open now to creatives across the North of England, and the organisers are hosting an information session on Zoom next week to meet the team and learn more about Script Lab.
The Information Session will be hosted by a BFI Network talent executive and takes place on Wednesday August 31 from 12pm, and lasting up to an hour.
The session will have space for up to 15 aspiring writers and film makers, and places must be booked via the Film Hub North website by 5pm on Monday August 29.
