Essity has hired Ruth Gresty as its new marketing director for consumer goods in the UK and ROI, while Gareth Lucy takes over as communications director.
Ruth boasts over two decades of strategic brand and commerical marketing experience, both in-house and across agency. She was most recently managing director at marketing agency Boxed Red and will be leading all marketing across the hygiene and health business’ key consumer goods brands including Tena, Bodyform, Velvet, Cushelle and Plenty.
Ruth’s arrival comes as communications director UK & ROI Sarah Wilson has moved into the global consumer goods team having been promoted to vice president of communications for consumer goods.
Communications manager Gareth Lucy will take on the role of communications director UK & ROI from September 1, 2022. Essity is currently recruiting for a new communications manager.
Lucy said: ““I’m delighted to be taking on the communications director role for UK and ROI. As a corporate brand, Essity is still the new kid on the block having only been established in 2017 following the split from SCA. We’ve got some fantastic stories to tell from industry leading sustainability work, to category driving innovations. So there’s masses of opportunity ahead to build awareness and trust, and firmly position Essity as a global leader in hygiene and health.”
All three will be primarily based at Essity’s UK consumer goods HQ at Manchester Airport.
