ITV Commercial has appointed marketing specialist Mike Liall as taking up the role of Client Strategy & Planning Controller across the broadcaster’s nine regional teams.
He will join the regional senior leadership team in August and be responsible for leading insight and effectiveness across ITV’s advertisers and the agency planning community.
Liall has 15 years of experience in media and marketing in the North of England. Presently he is Strategy Director at UM Manchester – McCann Manchester’s media planning and buying team – and is a member of McCann’s UK Strategy Leadership Council.
Previously, he was Strategy Director at iProspect, as well as holding senior positions at Dentsu North and MediaCom North, where he was ultimately Head of Social Media.
Jason Spencer, Business Development Director at ITV, said: “We are really excited that Mike is joining us. I’m certain he will make a massive impact on what we do and how we work with clients.
“He will help us to stepchange the strategic solutions we deliver across Business Development in the nine offices that make up our Nations and Regions team and to ensure we are working even more closely and more upstream with clients and agency planners to create value.”
Mike Liall said: “I’m delighted to be joining ITV at such a pivotal moment in its digital transformation, with ITVX launching and of course I’m A Celebrity… and the World Cup coming up this year.
“To lead the client strategy and planning team in the Nations and Regions to help brands of all shapes and sizes tap into this and much more is hugely exciting. I can’t wait to get to work with the team and get out there to see some new and familiar faces.”
