KodyPay, a payments fintech founded by students at the University of York, has appointed a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Joao Martins has been appointed as CTO. As the former founding CTO of open banking infrastructure provider Yapily, Martins played a significant role in providing the open banking infrastructure for the likes of American Express, QuickBooks, GoCardless and Volt.
Appointed as CPO, Pierre Baigts joins from fintech company SumUp where he currently serves as VP of Product.
Existing CTO Sam Heather will transition into a newly created Chief Information Officer role (CIO).
The fintech company, which aims to connect thousands of customers with venues through its platform, was founded in 2018 by co-founders Yoyo Chang (CEO) and Jack Howell (CDO) and has raised $6m to date.

KodyPay reports it has now signed up 350 venues in over 20 cities across the UK.
