Double Eleven, the leading game developer responsible for titles including Minecraft Dungeons, Goat Simulator and Prison Architect, has passed its 300th employee.
The studio passed 200 employees in summer 2021, and has recently opened an additional office in Malaysia. Its 300th employee was Katie Atkins (pictured), who has been appointed as Operations Assistant, joining from Santander.
The Middlesbrough-headquartered company is currently collaborating on a number of leading games, including Fallout 76 with Bethesda Game Studios, as well as unannounced projects for consoles including the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
It has been in the process of recruiting individuals worldwide, from the USA, Japan, Europe, and more.
Lee Hutchinson, founder and CEO of Double Eleven, said: “The scale and complexity of the projects we have been working on have resulted in us tripling the size of our team in the past 18 months, which is phenomenal.”
300th employee Katie Atkins added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Double Eleven. My partner works here as a junior programmer, he’s been with the company for two years, and he’s often talking about how great it is, so I already knew it was an incredibly special place to work.
“My new role is different to my previous job, but Double Eleven recognised my previous skills and experience were exactly what they were looking for.”
